How to Find Your Ring Size (US)

Short answer: measure the inside diameter of a ring that already fits, in millimeters, and match it to the US chart below. Or wrap a strip of paper around your finger and measure the length. Both take two minutes. Since our rings are made to order in your US size, getting this right up front matters.

Method 1: measure a ring you already own (most accurate)

  1. Take a ring that fits the right finger comfortably.
  2. Lay it flat and measure the inside diameter (edge to edge, across the opening) in millimeters with a ruler.
  3. Match the diameter to the US size in the chart below.

Method 2: wrap your finger

  1. Wrap a thin strip of paper or string snugly around the base of the finger.
  2. Mark where it overlaps, then measure that length in millimeters. That's your circumference.
  3. Divide by 3.14 to get the diameter, and match it below.

Ring size chart (US, UK/AUS & Italy)

We make our rings in US sizes, so the US column is the one you select at checkout. If you know your UK/Australian or Italian size, find your row below. The most reliable match is the inside circumference in millimeters, which is the same everywhere; letter sizes can vary slightly between jewelers, so when in doubt match by mm and size up if you're between sizes.

Tips for an accurate measurement

  • Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest. A ring that only fits in the morning will feel tight by evening.
  • Warm hands, not cold. Fingers shrink in the cold and can read up to half a size small.
  • Mind the knuckle. If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, size to slide over the knuckle, then size the band so it doesn't spin.
  • Wider bands fit tighter. If you're choosing a wide band, consider going up a quarter to half size.
  • Buying as a surprise? Borrow a ring she already wears on that finger and measure it, or ask a friend. When in doubt, US 6 / 6.5 is the most common women's size.

How sizing works with our rings

  • Made-to-order rings (most of our pieces) are crafted to the US size you select at checkout, so your measurement is what we build to.
  • Ready-to-Ship pieces come in a fixed size shown on the product page. If it's close, many ready-to-ship rings can be resized (one-of-a-kind and full-pavé styles may be limited); resizing details and any limits are noted at checkout.

FAQ

  • What's the most common women's ring size? US 6 to 6.5.
  • What if I'm between sizes? Size up. A slightly loose ring is wearable; a tight one isn't.
  • Can I get my ring resized later? Ready-to-Ship styles can often be resized (with limits on pavé/one-of-a-kind pieces). Made-to-order rings are built to your size from the start.
  • How do I measure if I only have an existing ring? Measure its inside diameter in mm and use the chart above (Method 1).
