The radiant cut is a smart center for a halo. It has the clean rectangular outline of an emerald cut but brilliant-style faceting underneath, so it sparkles like a round and plays well with the flicker of the halo around it. The center is graded E color (colorless) and VS clarity, bright and clean to the eye.

We set it in Platinum 950, which is 95% platinum. Platinum is naturally white, so it never needs the rhodium re-plating that white gold does, and it's dense and durable, which suits a ring meant to be worn for decades. It is platinum, not white gold: a different, more substantial metal.
