The asscher is the cut for people who like clean lines over fireworks. It's a square step cut with cropped corners and concentric facets that draw the eye straight down into the stone, that "hall of mirrors" effect collectors talk about. It reads quieter than a brilliant round, more architectural, with a clear Art Deco heritage.
Like an emerald cut, an asscher shows everything, so color and clarity have to be there. Every center is graded E color and VS clarity: colorless and eye-clean, exactly where a step cut looks its best. Choose 1ct, 2ct, or 3ct for the center. Two side stones, 0.40 carat together, add a little brightness on either side without distracting from the geometry.
Pick 14K or 18K yellow gold; 18K runs a richer, warmer yellow. The warm metal against the icy step-cut center is a deliberate contrast: old-world and modern at once.

Yes. It's a lab grown diamond, the same carbon crystal as a mined diamond, chemically and optically identical. Not a simulant like cubic zirconia or moissanite.
